Malaysia-China Insight introduces its new Honorary Chairman, Datuk Seri Azman Ujang

Malaysia-China Insight, accessible via a trilingual news app, an-English language newspaper and a bilingual English-Chinese magazine, is dedicated to sharing the latest Malaysia-China business news. Malaysia-China Insight is wholly owned by GTC Group.

Datuk Seri Azman Ujang is one of Malaysia’s prominent journalists.

He has spent his over 40-year long and chequered journalistic career entirely with Bernama, the national news agency.

He rose through the ranks from a cadet reporter to senior editorial positions, culminating in his appointment as Editor-in-Chief.

Barely two years later, he moved up as the Chief Executive Officer.

After some years of enjoying his retirement from Bernama but still actively practising journalism, in 2016 he was appointed as Chairman, making him the first person in Bernama’s 53-year history to have held the three top posts of Editor-in-Chief, CEO and Chairman.

He was Chairman for four years until January 2020.
