Chinese Ambassdor and Deputy KKD Minister officiated PUCM’s 2023 CSITE

On September 8, 2023 China Smart Industry Trade  Exhibition and Digital Forum were held in Kuala Lumpur. Chinese Ambassador  to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing,  together with  Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Chang Lih Kang , Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching, and PUCM President Datuk Keith Li officiated the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Ambassador Ouyang Yujing said that the friendship between China and Malaysia has a long history, Chinese high-tech enterprises are investing more and more in Malaysia, and the cooperation between the two countries in high-tech industries is constantly increasing.

Minister Chang Lih Kang said in a video speech that the two countries will jointly carry out research and development cooperation to further deepen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Vice Minister Teo Nie Ching said that China is an important partner in the development of Malaysia’s telecommunications and digital economy and hopes that Chinese companies will increase investment in Malaysia’s digital economy.

Subsequently, Ambassador  and Vice Minister witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Chinese and Malaysian companies and visited the company's boothes.

Datuk Keith Li  , President of the  China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia ,as well as the organising committee chairman of the exhibition,  said in his speech that currently, many Chinese technology companies have invested in Malaysia with their professional knowledge and technology and have good cooperation with local Malaysian partners. He hopes to continue to hold this exhibition and forum to build a cooperation platform, strengthen cooperation between Malaysian and Chinese enterprises, and promote the development of artificial intelligence, digital economy and smart technology in Malaysia.
